These are handmade  Wooden Jo Staffs. The Jo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. Its diameter is a constant .9 inch throughout its length making these thinner and faster then the traditional 1" width.

These Jo staffs are 48 to 60 inches in length.

The width .9 is somewhere between 15/16" and 7/8" I do not recommend these for contact as I always err on the side of thicker 1" for contact purposes, however the wood used for these is way above average for density and strength for these staffs. So these are as heavy as possible while still being thinner then average jo staffs.

The materials consist of High-quality southern Hickory. Hickory is the hardest available north American wood and has a great sturdy feel.

It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and and amazing feel in the which allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
