This is a handmade Wooden Hanbo Staff. The Hanbo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. Its diameter is a constant 1 inch through out its length.
This hanbo staff is 42 inches in length. Making it suitable for use as an extra long hanbo, or a shorter sized jo staff.
The materials consist of High quality southern Hickory. Hickory is the hardest available north american wood, and has a great sturdy feel. The hickory prevents this bo from having any wobble upon performing techniques.
It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and and amazing feel in the which allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
