These listing is for SINGLE ipe tanbo sticks that are shorter then 24" Please keep in mind if you order more then one stick, they may not match in weight or color.
These are 100% handmade Ipe Tanbo Sticks. Or Short Sticks. The Tanbo are also known as Kali Sticks or Escrima Sticks. The Tanbo are self defense training tool used in Kobudo martial arts weapon styles usually wielded in pairs in Arnis style South American Martial Arts. This is an upgrade from common Rattan sticks. Please check the variations to see which lengths are available.
The materials consist of solid Ipe wood which is twice as hard as hickory. It has a beautiful dark brown color and feels heavy to the hands. Due to slightly shorter length, these sticks have much more speed then standard sticks.
It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil, which adds beauty protection and allows the users hands to slip effortlessly up and down the stick, which is required for proper technique.
