This is SINGLE handmade solid Ipe Tanbo or short stick staff. Ipe is an exotic heavy wood. The Tanbo Staff is a traditional training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. Its diameter 1 inch through out its length.
These by default come in sizes of 21, 24 and 28 inches which are common martial arts lengths. But these can be made to any size. If this is the case please contact me at scrapwoodmartialarts@gmail.com
Ipe is twice as hard as common American Hickory. It has an amazing dark brown color. It is one of the hardest woods in the world. It has an amazing smooth sturdy feel. It has a beautiful heavy dark brown color.
It is sanded down to a shine and finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil, which gives it a permanent shine and protective layer while allowing the users hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff, which is required for proper technique.
