This is a 72" handmade Wooden Bo Staff. The Bo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training self defense tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. This particular staff is 1,1/8" in diameter and tapered to approximately 7/8" for the 72” length option.

This particular thickness and taper makes these excellent for a lighter to medium weight feel with the ability to be used in tournaments due to its speed but also retains enough durability as well due to its thickness to be used for most dojo uses as well.

The materials consist of solid hickory. Hickory is the hardest available North American Hardwood, and is excellent for all uses. These particular staffs are made from beautiful southern light colored hickory sapwood.

It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and and amazing feel in the which allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
