   Renowned for its beautiful purple color. Purpleheart is a popular choice for martial arts staffs, including (but not limited to)  bo staffs, jo staffs, hanbo, and Escrima/Tanbo sticks. It is comparable to hickory in many respects, including hardness and durability.
