This is a 100% handmade Wooden Hanbo Staff. This is an upgrade from common rattan staffs. The Hanbo or Half Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool which are used in Kobudo martial arts weapon styles. 36 inches is the standard Hanbo size. This staff is 1.25 inches wide making it useable for any heavy duty use.

The materials consist of high quality heavy flamed or curly hickory. Hickory is the heaviest available Indigenous North American wood.

The flamed pattern can be seen in the pictures. This staff also is discounted 20$ due to the medium sized pin knot that runs straight through the staff. It is about the size of the tip of a finger. It can be felt slightly.

I do not recommend this staff for contact use.

This staff is one of a kind.

It is finished with several coats of linseed and beeswax oil, which gives it a permanent shine and protective layer while allowing the users hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
