These are handmade Hickory Purpleheart laminated Wooden Bo Staffs. The Bo Staff is a traditional Martial Arts Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. These staffs can come in widths of 1" 1,1/8" 1,1/4"
The materials consist of Hickory and Purpleheart. Hickory is one of the hardest and most durable North American woods. There is a thin purpleheart strip down the center for extra beauty and strength.

1" Staffs are best used for solo use, speed training, and tournaments. If you have need of a contact staff, please purchase one of the wider varieties.
These staffs come in sizes 60"- 72".

It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and amazing feel in the which allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
Discounted Staffs have sections where the grain is not ideally straight and are not recommended for contact use. These staffs however are all heavy and perfect for solo use or hiking. These staffs also have more interesting grain patterns on the wood.
