These are handmade Hickory Purpleheart laminated Wooden Bo Staffs. The Bo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. This staff is 1,1/8" in width and 74,5/8" in length, making it suitable for someone taller.
The materials consist of Hickory and Purpleheart. Hickory is one of the hardest and most durable North American woods. There is a thin purpleheart strip down the center for extra beauty and strength.
*This particular staff has an extra wide strip of purpleheart. About .3 Inches. The pictures are of the exact staff. It is currently shown unoiled, but it will be oiled and darker once purchased.
It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and amazing feel in the which allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
