This is our collection of lightweight hickory staffs. Sometimes in the procuring of fine wood for staff making, we come into possession of some wood which does not make the cut in terms of being recommended for contact. These staffs still make fine solo staffs, and especially tournament staffs or hiking staffs. Each of these staffs are straight, and are smooth to the touch. But are definitely lighter then the average contact hickory we recommend. Therefore, these are ideal for home use or solo or tournament use. They are are also wonderful for hiking purposes due to their ability to be carried for longer distances.
These staffs labeled lightweight, these staffs are a below average weight for hickory, although they may still be below average for our standard grade hickory they may still be superior to most storebought staffs made of other inferior hardwoods. If you are upgrading from bamboo or rattan most likely these will still be heavier then you are used to. I have reduced the price on these staffs by 10$.

These staffs may either be made from laminated wood or solid hardwood depending on availability and quality of wood available.
Some of these may be discounted as well, and I will also put the word 'discounted' next to the variation to show that it doesn't have straight grain either. However in neither case are these recommend these for contact.
Each staff is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and and amazing feel in the which allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
