This listing is for an extra long Purpleheart Wooden Bo Staff. This is an upgrade to a common bamboo or rattan staff. The Bo Staff is a traditional Okinawan wooden training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. These particular staffs are up to 84" These staffs has a center diameter of 1,1/4" throughout its length.
These staffs are able to be tapered or untapered. They are currently 84" in length and I can cut to any size below that, including any size for a taper. If you want it tapered you MUST send me an email at scrapwoodmartialarts@gmail.com. I am not able to set my inventory quantity and have options for tapered or untapered. So if you purchase this listing, you will receive a finished 84" 1,1/4 straight staff. Tapering costs 20$. I can cut this to whatever size you request. If you would like a specific size or taper, please contact me and I will be happy to create the perfect size staff for you.
The materials consist of purpleheart wood which is one of the most beautiful exotic woods. Its hardness is comparable to hickory and has a beautiful natural dark purple color. These staffs may or may not be laminated depending on best wood selection and availability.
It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil, which causes the purpleheart to have a rich dark purple color. The oil gives it a permanent shine while allowing the users hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff, which is required for proper technique.

The shipping cost for Bo Staffs is $31.95. We ship UPS and USPS. For multiple staffs we combine shipping costs in one package and there is no additional shipping added for multiple staffs.
