This is a handmade wooden Jo Staff. The Jo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. Its diameter is a constant 1 inch throughout its length.
This jo staff is 47.5" by 1"
The materials consist of beautiful purpleheart wood on the outside. Sandwiched between is high-quality southern hickory sapwood. Hickory is the hardest available North American wood. On the inner layer is a layer of super hard ipe wood. This staff is one of a kind.
It is finished with several coats of linseed and beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and amazing feel and allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
