These are extra long handmade Medium Weight Hickory Wooden Bo Staffs. The Bo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts training. Certain arts like Tai Chi often use long poles. This particular staff is 1" in diameter throughout its entire length. It is extra long at 77.25 maximum. This staff also is suitable as a bo staff for someone who is tall and wants a longer staff then then traditional 72".

The materials are solid Hickory.

*If you would like a specific size shorter then 77.25 please leave a note and it will be cut to size at no extra cost.

Unless otherwise stated, the wood for our 1" Hickory staffs is chosen to maximize speed for tournament use and for solo use, or hiking, while still retaining the strength and durability of hickory and as such, will not be the heaviest grade of hickory possible. In general, one-inch staffs are not intended or created for contact use. For contact purposes, please see our selection of 1,1/8 thickness or 1,1/4 which are created to hold up to the heaviest uses.

It is finished with several coats of linseed and beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and amazing feel, which allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
