This is a handmade wooden Jo Staff. The Jo staff a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. Its diameter is a constant 1 inch throughout its length.
The materials consist of white oak. White oak is one of the most beautiful domestic woods. It is both moderately hard with good flexibility.
I do not recommend these white oak for contact due to the superiority of hickory, however this staff will make an excellent solo use or tournament jo staff, or hiking staff due to its lighter weight.
These staffs are made from reclaimed material.
It is finished with several coats of linseed and beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and amazing feel and allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
The pictures are generic in nature, and your staff will be aesthetically unique.
