This is a handmade Wooden Jo Staff. The Jo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. Its diameter is a constant 1 inch throughout its length.
These Jo staffs are 48 or 54 inches in length. If you are looking for a 60" Length, these are listed under a seperate listing.
The materials consist of High-quality southern Hickory. Hickory is the hardest available north American wood and has a great sturdy feel. The hickory prevents this jo from having any wobble upon performing techniques.
It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil and sanded to a fine finish, which gives it a permanent shine and amazing feel in the which allows the hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff.
